Beyond CE, many markets impose additional layers: UKCA mirrors CE but requires UK-based responsible person; Australia’s RCM mark mandates AS/NZS 4024.1 safety compliance; and Saudi Arabia’s SASO requires GSO Mark plus Arabic user manuals and voltage tolerance ±5% for 220–240 V systems.
Machine standards also govern performance consistency: EN 848-1 specifies spindle runout ≤0.02 mm for CNC routers; EN 848-3 sets maximum vibration ≤2.5 m/s² for wide-belt sanders (belt speed 25–35 m/s, grit range P80–P220). Buyers should request test reports — not just declarations.
Maintenance readiness affects long-term compliance. CE-certified machines must include multilingual maintenance schedules, torque specs for critical fasteners (e.g., 45±5 N·m for planer knife holders), and spare part diagrams with ISO-standard part numbers. Missing documentation triggers non-conformance audits.
